Terms of Use

These terms govern access to and use of this website. Visiting a page, reading the content, or submitting a search means that you accept every condition below. Do not continue to use the site if you disagree with them.

NO FCRA USE. This privately run website has no affiliation with St. Louis County, Missouri, or any other government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners supplies a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This is a reference resource, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independent of every government office. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or files paperwork for a visitor.

Its purpose is to identify the offices and systems that keep St. Louis County records, including the circuit clerk, County Police, Justice Services, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry, along with outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of this website is conditioned on the following restrictions. You may not:

  • Use site information to threaten, stalk, or harass any person
  • Violate a federal, Missouri, county, or local law
  • Use the content for a hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decision
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
  • Deploy a scraper, bot, or other automated collection tool against the pages
  • Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked tool must not be used to stalk, threaten, intimidate, harass, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. Missouri registry data is published for community awareness, not vigilantism. State law prohibits using Missouri Sex Offender Registry information to facilitate a crime, and other misuse can also carry legal consequences.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Our advertising partners do not turn this site into a service for decisions regulated by that law. You agree not to use content from this site or a linked tool to:

  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Make a hiring or firing decision
  • Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
  • Determine eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated decision

A legally permissible check for a regulated purpose must be obtained through the proper official or FCRA-compliant channel, not through this website.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. Only a licensed Missouri attorney can advise how a St. Louis County charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement rule applies to particular facts.

6. No Warranties

The website and its contents are offered "as is." We make no promise that:

  • Information will always be complete, current, or correct
  • Partner search results will be accurate or comprehensive
  • Pages will contain no error, bug, or security weakness
  • Service will remain uninterrupted

Criminal records can change when charges are filed or dismissed and when records are closed or expunged. Gaps and delays are possible. No page is an official statement from the 21st Judicial Circuit, St. Louis County Police, Justice Services, or a Missouri agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to county offices, court portals, state agencies, legal-aid groups, and outside services that we do not control. We are not responsible for a third party's content, availability, fees, or data practices. Review its terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to St. Louis County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required before copying, distributing, adapting, or building upon that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of this website, its information, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your use of the website or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Missouri law governs these terms. A dispute related to website use must be brought in a court located in Missouri. Public records are separately governed by the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610 RSMo, and Central Repository dissemination by section 43.540 RSMo.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A revision takes effect when the updated text is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. The affected term will be adjusted only as far as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
